Compass Studio is growing and looking for a Senior PR Account Executive to join our Sydney team. This is a role for someone who is confident, capable and ready to take real ownership. Not just drafting media lists, but shaping narratives, building relationships and delivering results you can stand behind.
Key Qualifications
What We’re Looking For:
- Around 3 years’ PR agency experience
- Demonstrated ability to turn a brief into a story angle that earns attention
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines without sacrificing quality
- Comfortable working directly with senior stakeholders
- Commercial awareness and understanding of what drives real business outcomes
- Genuine interest in sustainability, impact and purpose-led brands
- Calm under pressure and organised without being rigid
- Curious, proactive and willing to back yourself
Agency experience is highly regarded. Sustainability experience is not essential, but an appetite to learn and engage deeply in the space is.
Description
You will:
- Lead day-to-day client communications with confidence and clarity
- Build and nurture strong relationships with key media contacts
- Draft media releases, opinion pieces, briefing documents and key messaging
- Identify story angles that cut through in complex and scrutinised categories
- Pitch proactively and independently to cut through to national and trade media
- Support creative brainstorms and campaign ideation
- Produce data-driven reports highlighting results, insights, and measurable ROI
- Liaise with freelancers and network partners where required
- Bring initiative and insight that improve partner outcomes and the agency as a whole.
This is not a coordination role. We are looking for someone who can think, act and deliver.

Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, OR direct and relevant industry experience of at least 2-3 years
